Sweet and Sour Sauce


This is so easy - all made in a wok:

1 tsp sesame oil
1 finely chopped garlic clove
1 tsp ginger, chopped
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp white wine vinegar
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp clear honey
2 tbsp pineapple juice
Dash of light soy sauce
1 tbsp cornflour, mixed with water


In the wok, heat the oil and add the garlic and ginger. Next, stir in all the following ingredients, finally adding the cornflour.

Bring to the boil. For a thicker sauce, simmer for a little while uncovered to reduce the sauce. This is very good with a stir fry or with marinated chicken on skewers.
