Hot Nuts (and seeds)


Large handful of redskin peanuts (unsalted)
Handful of pumpkin seeds
Handful of sunflower seeds
Sesame seeds
Linseeds

Handful of almonds
Handful of cashew nuts

Any other nuts or seeds which you like
Tamari or Soy sauce - 1 tsps (to taste) (to add AFTER cooking)
Rapeseed or veg oil (very small amount - a couple of sprays if possible)

Spread the nuts and seeds in a single layer in a small roasting tin.  Drizzle or spray a very small amount of oil on top. Mix well together. 

Put in the oven at Gas Mark 2, 170 Fan oven for about 10 minutes, checking every 5 minutes to make sure nothing is burning.  Leave to cool for about 5 minutes - they are VERY hot.  Splash on some tamari or soy. 

Very simple to make but great to eat. If you want to store them, leave to cool completely and put in an airtight container. One of the greatest snacks!
